What Are Ink Ribbons?

Ink ribbons are the style of ink used in thermal transfer printers. The ribbon is a roll of a waxy resin material that when used in the proper style of printer, will transfer to the printed material, creating a smudge-free image.

For oil change sticker printers, we use ink ribbons that match the printer system. On some printers, the ink ribbon will last approximately 1,000 labels, while on other systems, one ribbon will last up to 3,000 or 4,000 labels.
