Why do oil change sticker printers cost so much?
It's a common question - how come I can purchase a color inkjet desktop printer for so much cheaper than an oil change sticker printer? While your desktop inkjet printer might only cost $50, the product it produces is not made to last in your windshield for 3-6 months, and as such will fade in a matter of days. Clearly this is not the appropriate product for your shop.
Other types of printers like a bar code shipping label printer are also not made to be a durable, long-lasting product and will fade very quickly as well. Further, these printers are not made to print static cling or low-tac vinyl materials, and if you try, the ink will likely smear off immediately.
